Plans, credits and exports

Every plan can design both maps and game UIs, and looking at a design is always free. The part that counts is exports: taking a map or a UI into Roblox Studio. Maps and UIs share the same exports.

The short version#

Without an account you can make 1 UI design (and 1 map) to try it out.
Signed in, you get UI designs every day: Free 2, Starter 10, Pro 25, and Studio 50 (up to 15 of them with AI).
Exporting a UI uses 1 export, the same as a map. Maps and UIs come out of one monthly pool of exports.
Free accounts get 1 export a month: one map or one UI.
Export credits cover extra exports, 1 credit each.
Looking is always free. Anyone can open every screen and tab of a UI design before exporting it.

Daily designs reset every day (UTC). Exports reset at the start of each month. Prices are in US dollars. See the pricing page to pick a plan.

What counts as an export#

A UI: the first time you export a design, it uses 1 export. After that, downloading the .rbxmx, the starter place or using Send to Studio again for that design is free.
An Extra on a UI (ready-made saving, Robux products, daily rewards...): included with Studio; on other plans 1 export per Extra per design, once (Extras).
A map: exporting it to Studio uses 1 export.
Designing and looking never use exports. They only count toward your daily designs.

Exports come from your plan first. When they run out for the month, export credits are used. When both are gone, the export button tells you, and you can buy credits or wait for next month.

Export credits#

Credits are extra exports you buy once. They work on any plan, including Free, and they never expire.

One credit pays for one export: a map or a UI.
Credits are only used after your plan's exports for the month are gone.
They stay on your account if you change or cancel your plan.
A credit can export any map, even sizes your plan can't export.

Free accounts#

A Free account gets 3 a day map designs, the same number of UI designs, and 1 a month free export for a map or a UI.

Questions#

Do I need a plan to use the UI Designer?#

No. You can try one design without an account, and a Free account gets 2 designs a day. You need to be signed in to export, and exporting uses your exports or credits.

What's the difference between AI and Instant designs?#

Instant designs work on every plan and are ready in moments. AI designs are slower and more original: an AI model lays out your UI from the prompt. They come with the Studio plan, up to 15 a day, counted in your 50 daily designs. Pick AI under Designer on the UI Designer.

Can I look at a design before I pay for an export?#

Yes. Every screen and tab, on desktop and phone, is there to browse before you export.

Do maps and UIs have separate exports?#

No. There is one pool of exports a month, and a map and a UI each use 1.

What happens to my exports if I cancel?#

Everything you already exported stays in your games. Unused export credits stay on your account.
