Offline earnings and Claim x3 / x10
Players earn while they're away, up to a cap, and collect it in the "Welcome back!" popup when they return. They can claim it for free, or pay Robux for Claim x3 and Claim x10. Its id in GameData is offline_earnings.
Turn it on#
- On the website, switch on Offline Earnings in your design's Extras panel (Data Saving comes on too), then export and install.
- Open ServerScriptService > BloxGame > GameData and find
GameData.Features.offline_earnings. Set the rate and the cap (below). - Optional: sell Claim x3 and Claim x10 for Robux.
- Test it: turn on saving in Studio (how), press Play, stop, wait at least 5 minutes, and press Play again. The popup opens with what you earned.
How much players earn#
- Time away is measured with the server's clock only, so changing a device's clock does nothing. It stops counting at
capHours, and less thanminMinutesearns nothing. - The rate is
percent% of what the player earns per second while playing: from the Upgrades Extra, or the player attributeBloxGame_IncomePerSecondthat your own tycoon code can set. - A player with no income yet gets the popup's own rate, else
fixedPerMinute. - With
applyMultipliers = true, rebirths, pets and passes make it bigger too.
| Setting | What it means | Starts as |
|---|---|---|
capHours | The most hours counted while away. | 8 |
minMinutes | Minutes away before anything is earned. | 5 |
rateSource | "auto": their income, else the fixed rate. "income": only their income. "fixed": always the fixed rate. | "auto" |
percent | The share of their income paid while away, in %. | 50 |
fixedPerMinute | The fixed rate, per minute away. | 10 |
currency | What it's paid in. | your first currency |
applyMultipliers | Rebirths, pets and passes also multiply it. | false |
autoClaim | With no popup in your design, pay it on join with a message. | true |
tripleProduct, tenProduct | Which GameData.Products entry sells Claim x3 / x10 (a name or an id). | "OfflineClaimX3", "OfflineClaimX10" |
doubleProduct | The product for an older popup's single "Claim 2x" button. Empty = found by itself. | empty |
Claim x3 and Claim x10 (Robux)#
The popup's Claim x3 and Claim x10 buttons pay 3 or 10 times what's waiting. Bought just after a free claim (within an hour), they pay the rest on top. With nothing waiting, they pay 2 or 9 hours of the player's rate.
- In the Creator Hub, create two developer products, "Claim x3" and "Claim x10" (how). Give them the prices your buttons show.
- Paste their ids into GameData:
GameData.Products
OfflineClaimX10 = { id = 2345678901, price = 79, builtIn = "offline10", owner = "offline_earnings" }, OfflineClaimX3 = { id = 1234567890, price = 29, builtIn = "offline3", owner = "offline_earnings" }, - Press Play after being away, and press Claim x3. In Studio it's a free test purchase.
Each purchase pays exactly once, even if Roblox sends it again. The popup closes once a Robux claim has paid what was waiting. Offline claims are for the buyer only: they can't be gifted.
Troubleshooting#
- The popup never opens in Studio: without saving in Studio, every Play is a brand-new player with no time away. Turn saving on, and stay away longer than
minMinutes. - "That isn't for sale yet."
OfflineClaimX3orOfflineClaimX10still hasid = 0. - The purchase prompt appears but nothing is paid: the product id doesn't match what Offline Earnings sells. Output says
no blueprint product with productId .... Put each id in the right entry (x3 inOfflineClaimX3, x10 inOfflineClaimX10), and check that Offline Earnings hasEnabled = true. - They earn almost nothing: the player's income per second is small, or 0 (then
fixedPerMinuteis used). RaisepercentorfixedPerMinute. - Earnings stop growing: that's the cap. Raise
capHours.
